Storyline:
Farhad Samji’s 2022 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film Bachchhan Pandey is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Arshad Warsi feature in the film.
It is an official remake of the Tamil film Jigarthanda from 2014, which was inspired by the South Korean film A Dirty Carnival in 2006.
A producer assigns Myra Devekar, a young director, the duty of developing a captivating and violent gangster plot for a film. To satisfy the producer’s commercial expectations and her desire to create a realistic film, she decides to research the life of a real-life mobster for the script.
Her thorough investigation takes her to the fearsome one-eyed Bachchhan Paandey of Baghwa, a merciless criminal surrounded by eccentric yet terrifying minions.
Myra arrives to Baghwa, where she sees her best buddy Vishu and informs him about her Bachchhan film project. Vishu becomes enraged and begs her to leave, but is eventually persuaded to assist her with the film. In an attempt to get closer to Bachchan, both Vishu and Myra begin to target his henchmen.
One of the goons, Virgin, tells them about his ex-girlfriend Sophie, who was murdered by the former. Vishu and Myra install a microphone in Virgin’s phone to listen in on his discussions with Bachchan.
Later, it is revealed that Virgin betrayed Bachchhan for another criminal, Rana Lohia, but is apprehended and slain by him. Vishu and Myra use a microphone to listen in on the murder, but they are apprehended by Bachchhan’s gang.
Bachchan plans to kill Vishu and Myra but agrees to spare them when he learns that Myra is filming a gangster film and that he would play the protagonist. Myra initially refuses, but Bachchan kidnaps her producer and forces Myra to listen to his past in order to construct the script.
