Storyline:
Bhuj Movie Download is an ode to the 300 women from Madhapur in Gujarat which is led by IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik who played an important role in the victory of India in the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Karnik together with his team with the assistance of local women, made history when they rebuilt the sole IAF airstrip in Bhuj that was destroyed in the conflict. Karnik was praised for his bravery and determination that helped save the day to the Indians.
The film is a celebration of the incredible bravado shown by not just Karnik but also 300 women from villages close to Bhuj who achieved this feat. The film’s principal photography started in June of 2019 at Hyderabad, Kutch, Bhopal, Indore, Lucknow, Goregaon, Kolkata and Dubai. The production was put on hold in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 lockdown that was in place in India at the time that filming was completed in 90; Devgn resumed shooting in November 2020 and finished on March 20, 2021 which brought the film into post-production.
The film was originally scheduled for release on the 14th of August, 2020 during this Independence Day weekend, it was delayed by the flu pandemic and then finally debuted on the 13th of August in 2021 in 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar. It received mostly bad reviews from critics of the film, who criticised the film’s writing the pace and the unrealistic scenarios.
