Storyline:
Chehre is a Hindi mystery thriller film directed by Rumi Jaffery and produced by Anand Pandit and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited in 2021. The film, which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles, also stars Krystle D’Souza, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Alexx O’Nell, Samir Soni, Dhritiman Chatterjee, and Raghubir Yadav in supporting roles, and is an uncredited adaptation of Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s 1956 novel A Dan (2021).
The film was announced on April 11, 2019, and production began on May 10, 2019. It was supposed to be released worldwide on July 17, 2020, however it was postponed owing to the COVID-19 epidemic. The film was eventually released in theatres on August 27, 2021. Sameer Mehra (Emraan Hashmi), a business mogul, seeks refuge in the mountains with an elderly man during a deadly snowstorm. He meets retired judge Jagdish Acharya (Dhritiman Chatterjee), renowned defence advocate Paramjeet Singh Bhullar (Annu Kapoor), house assistant Anna Matthews (Rhea Chakraborty), and one Hariya Jadhav (Raghubir Yadav). Lateef Zaidi (Amitabh Bachchan), a renowned public prosecutor with a quick wit and an attention for detail, joins them later.
Lateef approaches Sameer to see if he is the proper topic for a practical game they play between themselves. Sameer portrays himself as a brilliant and ambitious ad agency executive who has accomplished everything on his own since he was orphaned at the age of 15. When Sameer takes a break, Lateef tells his pals that he is certain Sameer is the ideal subject for their game, and everyone agrees because they value his viewpoint.
