Storyline:
Gadar Ek Prem Katha Full Movie Download is an 2001 Indian Hindi-language romantic period drama film written and directed by Anil Sharma. It is set in the Partition of India in 1947. Based loosely in the biography of Boota Singh the film stars Sunny Deol and Amisha Patel as lead characters, along with Amrish Puri, and Lillete Dubey. The son of Sharma Utkarsh as a child artist is Deol as well as Patel’s son prior to his debut feature film in adulthood, the Sharma-directed film Genius (2018). Patel was selected to play Sakeena from a pool of 500 girls who applied for the part.
The budget was estimated at about the sum of Rs190 millions (US$4.03 millions), Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was released worldwide in film release in cinemas on June 15th, 2001, in the same year as Ashutosh’s sport drama Lagaan. Although it received mixed reviews and a hefty budget, the film earned Rs768.8 millions (US$16.29 millions) total on the domestic market in India in addition to Rs1.33 billion (US$28.19 million) worldwide, and the distributor’s share of 546 millions (US$11.57 million) and then went on to be the most-grossing Hindi film ever since Hum Hul Koun..! (1994).
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is the second most watched Hindi film to be screened in India in the 90s and has over 50 million viewers in India. Based on Box Office India, its adjusted gross in India is Rs4.86 billion (US$103 million) in the 2017 sales of tickets. The timid role of Deol was highly praised, netting him an Best Actor nomination at the ceremony of the 47th Filmfare Awards, while Patel received an award called the Filmfare Special Award as well as nominations in the category of Best Actress in the same ceremony.
