The film was co-produced by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banners Colour Yellow Productions, T-Series and Eros International. The film features Taapsee Pannu as well as Vikrant Massey, and Harshvardhan Rane. The film was released on the 2nd of July, 2021 on Netflix. It received a negative review from critics. Rani is a housewife. She is at home feeding her dogs and cats, when her home suddenly explodes, likely the death of her husband Rishab “Rishu” Saxena. The police find a body charred-beyond-recognition, with a severed hand which Rani identifies as Rishu’s. The film is split with the present (narrated through Flashback) in addition to the present. the actuality of the incident is interspersed with the ongoing police investigation today.
The flashbacks reveal the arranged wedding between the couple, when he was enthralled by her right away, and she got married only because her boyfriend left her. There is still tension and a lack of trust between her Rishu as well as his parents following the wedding. In addition to the stressful situation the anxious Rishu does not manage to get his act together. In the following day, he is able to hear her telling her aunt and mother about his lack of sexual relations. In pain, he ceases to acknowledge her in full and their connection diminishes.
