The film stars John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi and Kajal Aggarwal as well as Rohit Roy, Rohit, Mahesh Mannjrekar, Rohit, Anjana Sukhoni, and Prateik Babbar. Samir Soni, Amole Gupte, Gulshan Grover. Mumbai Saga is set in the 1980s and 1990s. It shows how Bombay changed from its former glory days to become a city of malls and high-rises. The film was theatrically released on March 19, 2021. It was later digitally premiered by Amazon Prime Video on April 27, 2021.
Amartya Rao (John Abraham), is from a lower-middle-class family. His father sells vegetables at the railway overbridge. All vendors are required to pay protection money for Gaitonde (Amole Gupte) and his gangster Gaitonde. Amartya’s teenage brother Arjun is attacked by some of Gaitonde’s henchmen. Amartya, furious, shatters the entire gang. Gaitonde’s henchmen arrest him and force him to surrender. He defeats them all and is respected by criminal Nari Khan (Gulshan Grover), who warns Gaitonde not to take any further action.
