Storyline:
Sukumar directed and wrote Pushpa Movie Download, a 2021 Indian Telugu action drama film. It was produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media. Allu Arjun plays the title character, alongside Fahadh Faasil (his Telugu debut), Rashmika Mandanna, and Jagadeesh Prhap Bandari. Ajay, Ajay, Ajay Ghosh, Sunil and Rao Ramesh are supporting roles. This film is the first of two cinematic parts. It depicts the rise and fall of a coolie within the red sandalwood smuggling network. The rare wood can only be found in Andhra Pradesh’s Seshachalam Hills.
Devi Sri Prasad composed and sung the film’s soundtrack and score, while Karthika Srinivas – Ruben did the cinematography. The film was originally produced in December 2019. However, production was stopped in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming was resumed in November 2020, but was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Filming took place mainly at the Ramoji Film City of Hyderabad and Maredumilli Forest in Andhra Pradesh.
Pushpa: The Rising was released in Telugu on 17/12/2021. It also had dubbed versions available in Malayalam and Hindi as well as Tamil, Kannada, and Tamil. Mixed reviews were received for the film. Critics praised Allu Arjun’s performance, characterization, action sequences and direction, but criticised its length. The Rise was a commercial success, earning Rs365 crore (US$46 millions) crore at the box-office.
