Storyline:
Lal Jose co-produced and directed Vikramadithyan, an Indian Malayalam-language action comedy-drama film released in 2014. Dulquer Salmaan, Namitha Pramod, and Unni Mukundan feature in the film. Nivin Pauly appeared in the film as a cameo. Iqbal Kuttippuram wrote the screenplay, and Jomon T. John directed the film. Bijibal composed the music. On the occasion of Eid-ul Fitr, the film was released on July 25, 2014.
Kunjunni Menon, a cunning burglar, is madly in love with Lakshmi, a police constable. One day, while following her, he discovers that she plans to marry a police officer. Despite his mother’s concerns, Laksmi’s colleague Vasudeva Shenoy announces his wish to marry her. Kunjunni impersonates a police officer and marries Lakshmi before Shenoy can persuade his mother. Shenoy then marries, and both couples are rewarded with sons on the same day. In the present, Shenoy’s son Vikram has joined the SI and proposes to his childhood friend Deepika a week before his departure.
At the same time, Lakshmi’s son Adithyan, who has been absent for a few years, returns to town. The narrative then shifts into a sequence of flashbacks. Lakshmi discovers Kunjunni cheated on her, but they pretend to have a happy marriage. A young Adithyan, on the other hand, still believes his father is a cop. In school, he and Vikram become rivals and begin competing against each other, wagering that the loser shall salute the winner, a custom they keep into adulthood. Adithyan is always defeated. Kunjunni is caught red-handed by Shenoy and his team while attempting to steal one day and is paraded through the streets half-naked.
